Cebu City is the capital of the province of Cebu and is the second most important metropolitan in the Philippines. It is the main hub of international flights outside the capital and is the center of commerce and industry in the Visayas and Mindanao, thus, it has been affectionately known as the Queen City of the South. Cebu was integrated as a city on February 24, 1937.
