Liloan or Lilo-an is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. Liloan has been known for its scenic pristine beaches and as a resort town. A portion of the coastline called Silot is considered a danger spot because of a whirlpool caused by the ebb and tide of the waters which flow from an inland lake. In cebuano, this phenomenon is called a "Lilo" and is where this town got it's name.
